I'm actually really proud of how this turned out, especially since this is officially my first colored fanart! ^^ Hopefully, it doesn't look too horrible...
Now with fem!Russia, since the empty space next to shirtless Raivis bugged me, XDD. Speaking of which, I just realized I forgot to add his tears. Whoops, XD. Speaking of Raivis (er, Milda), I did color her eyes; they're just really light.
For fem!Russia, I took some liberties, even though I know she has an official design. I don't really like her pink outfit (it's cute, but I personally don't think Russia, female or not, should have a cute outfit, since he/she is a very intimidating character), so I just drew her wearing her male counterpart's awesome jacket. I also think she (as well as her male counterpart) would be pretty big-boned, so I drew her as such. (I'm not a big fan of him/her getting slimmed down.) Haha, her nose was EPIC to draw~ -Has a love for drawing large noses-
Just in case people didn't see the black and white version, here's a repeat of the description of the Baltics and Poland: It first started out with a joke drawing of my version of fem!Poland. I liked it so much that I decided to draw the Baltics genderbent as well. I didn't really change Poland's hair or appearance, I only made 'her' face a bit rounder and gave her more curves. (Which are covered by her military jacket, but whatever...) I gave her the name 'Felka' because I'm pretty sure it's the female variation of 'Feliks'. ...This is random, but in my head-canon, fem!Poland dresses and acts really boyish.
I drew fem!Lithuania next. I kept 'her' hair the same as her male self, since I thought the style and length fit her personality, but I softened her face (though it is still more angular than Felka's) and gave her a more feminine figure and neck. *HEAD CANON TIME: I think that if Poland and Lithuania were girls, Poland would be curvier, with a rounder face and bigger breasts, while Lithuania would be pretty bony and flat. (Though not as flat as I picture fem!Latvia...X'D). I call her 'Viktorija' because it can be shortend to 'Tori', which is very close to 'Toris'.
After Victorija, I drew fem!Latvia. Her design was the easiest for me to draw; I just made her hair thicker and a bit longer than her male counterpart, and gave her a thin, boyish figure. (She's supposed to look a bit androgynous.) Though Latvia's human name is 'Raivis', I decided to not give her a name that started with 'R' for many reasons. The biggest one was that, in my head-canon, fem!Latvia would be called 'Milda' because that is the name Latvians gave the woman who embodies freedom on the top of the Brīvības piemineklis (Freedom Monument) in Riga. (Also, I only found two names that could be female variations of 'Raivis': 'Raisa' and 'Rebecca'. Raisa is a pretty name, but when I researched it more in-depth, I discovered that it is not the female version of Raivis. Rebecca is pretty rare when used as a female version of Raivis, especially since I'm pretty sure it isn't Latvian [I know 'Rebekah' is Hebrew, and 'Rebecca' is the European version of it, though]. Plus, it's my name, so I felt weird giving it to fem!Latvia, even if he/she is my favorite character, X'DD.) So yeah...Milda it is, XD. Wow, that was long...
Finally, I drew fem!Estonia. Haha, I gave her a boring pose and a boring expression. Sorry, Eesti, XDD. -Hugs him, er, her- I gave her a pretty average-looking body type, though, in my head-canon, she'd have nice legs, ^^'. Originally, her hair was going to be exactly like her male counterpart's, but it looked so weird, so I added a ponytail, XDD. Her name, though very rare, is a real Estonian name. (It is rarely used because it sounds very close to Eesti, X'D.) Some more popular variations of the name are 'Esta' and 'Ester', but I thought 'Esti' suited fem!Estonia more. -Shrugs-
I wrote everyone's names in Japanese because I was bored. Viktorija's name is technically supposed to be ビクトリア, but ビクトリーヤ works, too. I think...X'D
akjsdflajsdlkjaslkdj the colors are so magical that you can not see the bars....ffu and it sorta bothered me how fem russia had pink...i was mentally thinking it made her less than what her nature was like. oh you and your nose fetish
i love your version of eesti! it suits her...truth be told none of the baltics in my mind should have super long hair...in their position, that would only prevent easy escape.
Aww, thanks so much! let me use her awesome markers.
Ugh, yesh, I know! I wish she just wore the same outfit as her male counterpart.
Yesh~ Noses are awesome!
Thanks so much! I loved drawing all of them, but for some reason, FemStonia's face was my favorite to draw. Haha, that is so true! If they had long hair, it would be easier for Russia to grab them, X'D.
Yesh~ Yeah... She has another outfit that's black, but I still wish she wore the awesome coat regular Russia wears... XDD Noses for the win~ That face still scares me, but it also makes me laugh, XD. Really? You think FemStonia is the prettiest? Yay! =
Ha, Fem!Russia looks AWESOME! And once again I sound like your clone, because I agree with you on the slimming down of Russia (it bugs me when he's drawn as this slender, uber-sexy bishonen) and on his Nyotalia outfit! She looks way better in what you've drawn her!
Thanks so much! I was so worried that it was going to turn out badly, since this was my first time coloring a piece of fanart.
Thanks! ^_^ And yay, you have the same thoughts as I do!! I hate it when he's drawn as super skinny and uber-bishie, too. He's not supposed to be frail, he's supposed to be terrifying and intimidating. Plus, him being big-boned gives him more uniqueness as a character, since most of the Hetalia characters are very slim or average when it comes to body types. Haha, his Nyotalia outfit bugs me as well. It's just so pink and girly; I thought fem!Russia would be a no-nonsense, cold, and calculating woman with a hint (okay, more than a hint) of childishness and insanity. Though Russia isn't my favorite character, I really wanted to present his female counterpart in a way that was true to his personality, even if that meant 'de-cuteifying' her, XDD. I love his coat so much, so I decided to draw 'Anya' wearing it, too. ^_^
